How would the poet want to make the rainbow shy? (Fantasy)

The poet wished to be sky as whenever rain comes, a rainbow lights up. Just as a rainbow appears after all the heavy raining, the presences of the rainbow enlightens all. So if the poet represents sky, then no matter the obstacles he/she faces there would always be something to cheer him/her in the end.
