pressure=force/area
original force=f/a
new pressure=f/2a
let original pressure=n
and new force=m
m/n =f/2a÷f/a
m/n=f/2a×a/f=1/2
m=1/2×n
so,new pressure=half of original pressure.
2)let the original force (thrust)f be n
if double then new force 2f. be m
m/n=2f/a÷f/a
m/n=2f/a×a/f
m/n=2
m=2n
so, the new force increase two times of original force.
