How would the time period of a pendulum vary if we keep the same bob and alter the length of the string or if we keep the same length of the string and alter the mass log the bob?

Answer:

time period is directly proportional to √length i.e. on increasing length time period inc.

but changing mass does not interfere with time period.

Answer:T=2\pi \sqrt{l/g}  so if the length is cut by 1/4th the time period will be 1/2.

and the mass is not in the equation so it will not change the time period i.e. by changing the mass the time period will not change.
