how would the two vectors of the same magnitude have to be oriented, if they were to be combined to give a resultant equal to a vector of the same magnitude?

These 2 vectors is to be kept at an angle of 120° between them.

Let's take an example there are 2 vectors of same magnitude say F vector

R = √F²+F²+2F.Fcosø
R =√F²+F²+2F²cos120°
R =√2F²+2F²(-1/2)...................... since cos120°=-1/2
R =√2F²-F²
R =√F²
R =F
