Local knowledge is the knowledge that people in a society have been developing based on their past experiences which can be dynamic and changing.

Local knowledge can help an individual see the conditions that are prevailing in his/her surroundings hence increasing their knowledge in a part of the subject namely social science.

This indigenous or local knowledge can be used to run any environmental friendly programmes.
