To improve the breeds of livestock in my area, I will adopt the following approaches:-
- Cross-Breeding: In which superior males of one breed are mated with superior females of a different breed. The hybrid will have the combination of all the desirable characters.
- Selection: After inbreeding, selection process wil be carried out to develop stable breeds which are superior to the existing ones.
- Controlled Breeding experiments: by using Artificial Insemination and Multiple Ovulation Embryo Transfer (MOET).
