How would you bring about the conversion of propanol to propanoic acid ?

We can bring about the conversion of propanol to propanoic acid by using a strong oxidising agent, such as Acidified Pottasium Dichromate (K2CrO7) or Alkaline Pottasium Permanganate (KMnO4).

CH3CH2CH2OH [In presence of KMnO4] = CH3CH2COOH + H2
