It is not neccessary that a redox reaction has H2
A redox reaction is one in which transfer of electrons takes place
redox ----> reduction + oxidation
oxidation ----> loss of e- } OIL (Oxidation is loss)
reduction ---> gain of e- } RIG (Reduction is gain)
So it is not neccesary for H2 to be present if there is gain and loss of e- it is redox reaction
