how would you convey to the world that indian government system is a really effective system

In my experience, which is limited, students from Indian institutions have a wonderful foundation in "basic" knowledge. Reading, writing, and especially math skills are strong. I worry that the Indian system produces students who are "book smart," meaning that they are very knowledgeable but have difficulty applying that knowledge to solve real problems.
A possibly connected issue is that when running independent research projects, several students from India that I have worked with spend way too much time reviewing the extant literature. Some spend so much time chasing rabbits and squirrels that little time is left to complete the primary research project.
I know I am speaking in generalities, and every person is unique. Overall, my experience has been very positive
