An essay is a short piece of writing that clearly outlines  specific writers perspectives depending on the topic.

There are mainly four types of essays;

1. Descriptive essay - This type is basically when the writer narrates an incident through the essay.
2. Expository essay - This type requires the writer to have prior knowledge about the subject to foster a balanced study of the topic.
3. Descriptive essay - This essay type requires the writer to describe an object, event or even memories, mainly to evoke the readers emotions.
4. Persuasive essays - This kind of essay requires the writer to get the reader to one side of the argument.
