GREEN PLANTS PREPARE THEIR FOOD IN PRESENCE OF SUNLIGHT. SO, WHEN PLANTS PREPARE THEIR FOOD, THEIR IS SPLITTING OF WATER INTO H2 AND O2. THE WATER WHICH SPLITS IS ABSORBED FROM RAIN THROUGH STOMATAS ON LEAVES. THIS IS HOW PLANTS RELEASE O2 THROUGH SPLITTING OF WATER.

because when the plants are exposed to sunlight the photosynthesis process occurs. and by it s pigments leafs make there own food materials so they release oxygen and intake carbondioxide to make there food.

hope it helps
