Protoplasm is the content of the cell including the cell membrane,cytoplasm and the cell nucleuswhereas cytoplasm is the jelly like substance surrounding the nucleuswithin the cell membrane. Thecytoplasm contains the cell organelles like mitochondria, ribosomes etc.
