The main primary difference between dust particles and microorganisms are that dust particles are non-living creatures whereas microorganisms are living beings.

As with all living creatures, microbes will show changes and signs of life when put under a microscope.

Chemical analysis will also produce different results for dust particles and microorganisms. Another way to find out their difference is by conducting x-ray crystallography.
