Physical differences:
- Monocots are the plants whose seed has only cotyledons While seeds of dicots have two cotyledons.
- Monocots have fibrous root system while Dicots have tap root system.
- Leaves of Monocots show parallel venation while leaves of dicots show reticulate venation.
- The leaves of monocots have equal distribution of stomata both the surfaces while the leaves of dicots have greater number of stomata on the lower surface.
- Examples:
Monocots: Maize, Rice etc.
Dicots: Mango, Bean etc.
