how would you explain the lower atomic radius of Ga as compared to Al

The atomic mass of elements increases down the group . Also , the atomic volume increases the same way. While going g from Al(at.no.13) to Ga(at.no.21) both increases equally.But the increase in the atomic volume overtakes atomic mass. Thus, Ga has lesser atomic radius than Al
