R = V / I gives the effective resistance of the assembly of parallel resistors given the voltage V across the assembly of parallel resistors and the total current I from one side of the assembly to the other If the two resistances are identical, half the current (0.5 I) will go thru each resistor, so the resistance of each resistor will be V/(I/2) or 2VI. Therefore the resistance of each resistor in the assembly will be 2R.
If you know the resistance value of each of the identical resistors, the overall resistance between A and B will then be half the resistance of one of those resistors.
