How would you offer your opinions on these situations? Discuss with your partner.

1. Your teacher wants to know why your friend has been absent from school for five days.
2. Your friend's brother is not talking to your friend,
3. Your classmate has lost his/her water bottle.​

Answer 1

1. If I knew the reason, I would tell the teacher. But if I didn't know, I would tell my teacher that don't know or I would tell what I think the reason is based on past information but also tell her that I am not completely sure.

2. I would ask my friend and then her brother if anything I wrong. Then I would try to help them.

3. I would tell them to calm down and reassure her that everything it is fine and then I would help her find her water bottle.

1. Perhaps He/she is sick or attending a relatives marriage or whatever He/she has told me to say. I’d prefer the teacher calling His/Her house and enquires.


2. Talk to my friend if need be and get the dispute sorted. I’d prefer to stay out of personal family problems unless invited.

3. Get a New one. ‍♀️ till then He/She can use my bottle.
