How would you prepare 500ml of a 1N solution of NaOH

Starting with anhydrous, solid NaOH weigh out 20.00 g (MW = 40.00g/mol) and carefully add it to an empty 500.00 mL volumetric flask. Add about 400 mL of distilled H2O, stopper, shake to dissolve. The bottle will become warm to hot to touch as NaOH has an exothermic heat of solution.
