How would you react in dark night, if you will heard any sound in kitchen?

Reaction to the unexpected
I have always been weak at heart person, terrible at dealing with surprise attacks and horror movies. If I were to hear a sudden sound in the kitchen, while I am home alone, I would start reciting the holy chants first of all. Following that would be my futile efforts to muster up the courage to check the anomaly. Finally, when I would have no other options left other than facing the situation head-on, I would go out with at least two objects that could be used as potential weapons in case of an unforeseen circumstance.
Although I know none of this would be necessary, But my overly imaginative and terrified thoughts would probit any rationality.
