Principle:I2 is soluble in ethyl alcohol (C2H5OH) while NH4Cl is not.
Process 1 : Dissolution in a special solvent,i.e.Ethyl alcohol.
Iodine will dissolve within the solvent and NH4Cl crystals will be found floating on the surface of the liquid.
Process 2:Filtration
The mixture will be filtered and NH4Cl will be obtained on the filter paper.
Process 3:Evaporation
The subsequent filtrate will be evaporated to get the precipitate of Iodine.
