Mixture of 'iodine' and common salt is separated by sublimation.

EXPLANATION:

Common salt is formed by the composition of sodium (Na) and chloride (Cl) which together forms NaCl where the sodium has positive ions and chloride has negative ions.

To separate the amount of iodine from common salt a method called sublimation may be used where the salt is heated up and the iodine releases in form of vapor as it is sublime in nature.

Thus the common salt will remain as it is and the iodine composition will release in form of vapor which can be collected.
