3p - 4 = 9p - 21

Subtract 9p from both sides.

3p - 9p - 4 = -21

Add 4 to both sides.

3p - 9p = -21 + 4

Simplify.

-6p = -17

Divide both sides by -6.

p = \dfrac{17}{6} AND 2\dfrac{5}{6}

3p-4=9p-21

9p-3p=21-4

[SUBTRACTING 3p AND 4 FROM BOTH THE SIDES]

6p=17

p=17/6

p = \: 2 \frac{5}{6}
