How would you switch over form Insert mode to Type-over mode?

We will go through the simplest way that is to set the insert key to control insert and type over. After enabling this option the insert key toggles insert mode on and off. Here are the following steps:

·       For Word 2010 and 2016, the first step is to click the File tab at the top left corner of the Word window.

·       Click on the tab of Options.

·       Select Advanced from the left-hand sub-menu.

·       Under Editing options, check the box next to Use the Insert key to control overtype mode. (If you want to turn it off, uncheck the box).

·       Click Ok at the bottom of the opened window.
