How would you test the presence of starch in leaves​

The presence of starch in leaves can be tested by the Iodine test.

When we remove chlorophyll from the leaf by boiling it in alcohol and then put two drops of iodine solution, it is colour change to blue indicates the presence of starch.

1) wash the leaf

2) put it in boiling water to break the cell membrane

3)keep it in alcohol water bath to remove chlorophyll

4)alchohol turns green leaf colourless

5)add few drops of iodine solution and observe the change
