Starch testing

Iodine solution is used to test leaves for the presence of starch. ... heat a plant leaf in boiling water for 30 seconds (this stops its chemical reactions) heat it in boiling ethanol for a few minutes (this removes most of its colour)

Answer:

hello dear friend

you would test the presence of starch in leave by covering the one part of leave with black paper and kept it in absence of sunlight you observe that the leave colour will turn blue blackand after that you should remove that black paper and you will observe that the leave color will not change
