How you spent in dussehra holidays at your home

One day we went for a birthday party in the neighbour's house.. On Dushera day we wore new clothes and went to the park to see the burning of the effigy of Ravana. My uncle told me that this is done because it is believed that Lord Rama killed Ravana on Vijayadasami day.
