Howard and his friends start their journey from Highway 24. They walk 5kms towards east. After that, they head 2.5 kms towards South into the grasslands. They cross the grasslands and take a lift on a mini van and move 3kms eastwards to reach the end of the district. They pursue 4kms south by crossing the river. Then, they take a road through a park, 3kms eastbound, then 3kms southbound. Finally, they reach the famous trail and follow it for 10kms west until they reach the national park. Select the correct distance between the initial and final longitude that the group have covered?

the route from highway to national park, is a straight line and Howard and his friends took a walk towards east then south and finally west which ends in national park so the distance towards the east can be ignored and the adding of distance travelled towards the south is the right answer... and the answer is 2.5+4+3= 9.5
