Howard Carter ran into trouble when he finally reached the mummy because ritual resins has hardened and cementing Tut to the bottom of his solid gold coffin. No amount of force could make it budge,it was excessively hot in that part of the country so Carter tried to loosen the resins by keeping the mummy out in the sun for several hours. It was kept out in the blazing sunshine at a temperature of 149 degrees Fahrenheit but nothing budged.
