oxygen from the lungs is sent to blood and then transported to the alveolar blood tissue. there is a respiratory pigment called as haemoglobin. Haemoglobin mix with oxygen to form oxyhaemoglobin. the the oxygen is transported in the blood in the form of oxyhaemoglobin.and co2 in the form of carboxyhaemoglobin.
