Correct Question

The length / of a cube is measured to be  4.0 ±0.1 m. The volume of the cube will be

(1) 64 \± 4.8\ m^{3}

(2) 64 +0.3 m

(4). 64 $ 1.6 m3

(3) 64 2.4 m3

Answer:

The volume of the cube  will be 64 \± 4.8\ m^{3}    and option (1) is correct.

Explanation:

Given:

The length  of a cube is measured to be  4.0 ± 0.1 m.

To Find:

The volume of the cube.

Formula Used:

The volume of the cube V =p^{3}  ----------- formula no.01.

Where,

p = the length  of a cube

Solution:

As given-the length  of a cube is measured to be  4.0 ± 0.1 m.

p= 4 m.

\frac{\delta p}{p} =\frac{0.1}{4.0} =0.025

Applying formula no.01.

The volume of the cube V =p^{3}

\frac{\delta v}{v}= 3\times \frac{\delta p}{p}

\frac{\delta v}{v}= 3\times 0.025

    =0.075

The volume of the cube v =p^{3}

                                              =4^{3}  \ m^{3}  = 64 \ m^{3}

\frac{\delta v}{v}= 0.075

\delta v=  v\times0.075

     \delta v= 64\times 0.075\\             =4.8 \ m^{3}

The volume of the cube =64 \± 4.8\ m^{3}.

Thus, the volume of the cube  will be  64 \± 4.8\ m^{3}  and option (1) is correct.
