Answer: It is not a non-metal bro it is only an type of non-metal.

Explanation: Means Non - metals are divided into two categories -

1] Reactive Non-metals.

2] Noble Gases.

As, you have given in the question that noble gases have complete octet. So, because the outermost electron shell of these gases are full, so they do not react chemically with other substances. Also the noble gases are not reactive. Hence, they have a bit tendency for gaining and losing electron. Also they differ from other non-metals as they are unreactive and colourless hence they are non-metals only because they are one of the type of Non-metals.

I knew that you didn't understood from the above explaination but you simply remember that noble gases are called non-metals only because they are one of the type of Non-metals.

Also I think that you have to make correction in your question you have written that noble gases have no sharing and gaining of electron, but noble have stands for little tendency of gaining and losing of electron.

If you found my answer correct & understood why the noble gases are called non-metals, Plz mark me as BRAINLIEST. Vote me & if possible add me as your friend. I'm waiting to be your friend bro 'cause I also have asked the same question to my teacher.
