Hii friend,

Yes I do agree we do make food in our kitchen. But what about the ingredients? They are not made by us. For example: Let us take a fruit. Can you make a fruit? No. The plants, make their own food. But we cannot. That is why plants are known as autotrophs and we are called hetrotrophs. We obtain the ingredient from a plant or an animal.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU :)

Human beings are categorized as heterotrophs as they fist obtain food products either from plant or animal. After that they prepare their own food by chemical processes by using microwaves, by using LPG cylinder in Gas stoves etc. Here we can see that humans do prepare their food by their own they depend on other organisms for their food requirement. That is why we cannot consider human beings as autotrophs.
