Human cannot digest cellulose as they have no symbiotic bacteria in their digestive system but the cellulose is very much important to support the digestion in human beings.

The cellulose or the fibre which we get from the fruits and vegetables helps to form waste in our body. Fibre helps to move food in the gut and keep the waste out from the body. So this the reason why we need to eat fruits and vegetables rich in cellulose.
