There is a feature of humans which make them different from animals that humans always want a change and they always do not want to do hard work they just want to discover a short cut by which they can just achieve there goals or just make the path to achieve goal easy. Same like this humans use many short cuts in the development with the help of instruments , which are machine so they can do work without resting and hence humans also can do there work very easily.
