Human corpse always floats on the surface of water but the head stays within water. Why?

Human body floats on water because bouyancy force exerted by water is more than bodies weight which happens when weight of water displaced by it is more than its own weight.
In other words, density of an average human body is roughly 985 kg/cubic m, which is slightly less than that of water.
