The human eye is one of the most valuable and sensitive organs. It enables us to see the wonderful world and the columns around us. It is impossible to identify colours while closing the eyes.
=>The human eye is like camera. Its lens system form an image on a light-sensitive screen called RETINA.
=>Light enters eye through a thin membrane called CORNEA.
=>The eyeball is approximately spherical in shape with the diameter of about 2.3cm.
=>the crystalline lens merely provides the finer adjustment of focal length required to focus objects at different distances on the retina.
=> we find a structure behind the cornea which is called IRIS. iris is a dark muscular diaphragm that controls size of pupil.
=> the pupil regulates and control the amount of light entering our eyes.
=>the eye lens forms an inverted real image of the object on retina.
=> the retina is a delicate membrane having enormous number of light sensitive cells.
=>the light sensitive cells get activated upon illumination and generated electric signals.
=> these signals are sent to brain via nerves and brain interprets these signals resulting into perceiving objects as they are.
Through this many functioning organs ina small eye we can finally see the beautiful world.
This answer is quite big.. But i hope this helps
