In the economies, tourism creates both employment and enormous revenue. In addition to the direct revenue generated by tourists, tourism also opens doors to businesses such as travel providers, the entertainment and recreation industry, the hotel & accommodation industry, the transport, & the food & beverage industry.
Explanation:
- Because of its rich culture, cultural , biological and historical diversity, Pakistan has a rich tourism potential. As a tool for achieving significant economic gain, tourism has developed. However, according to international visitors, the greatest negative factor impacting Pakistan is that it is not safe to visit Pakistan anymore.
- 'In the country before 2007 there had been disruption for political reasons, however, it was still okay to visit the areas for tourism; however after 2007 tourists were not allowed to visit because of a Pakistani insurgency which led primarily to a suicide bombing in public places, hotels and foreigners' kidnappings, especially in northern Pakistan such as the Swat Valley which was previously known as the Switzerland.
- The lack of facilities particularly in the northern regions of Pakistan, which are the most magnificent places to visit, are the other problems facing domestic and foreign tourism. There are also the scarcity of services as well as hotels & restaurants of good quality.
- Many visitors face a big problem with the lack of Internet and telephone networks. The lack of good banking services such as ATM machines, credit or visa cards is also a tourist problem. If we compare it with the transport system in Europe or the United States, the transport facilities are not up to the standards of foreign tourists. Tourists are typically required to travel by taxi or bus. In Pakistan, the system of train or tram is not common. In Pakistan, saving time is not that easy.
- In Pakistan most people are uneducated if visit other provinces other than Punjab. The tourist guide 's role is therefore very much important, but this unfortunately not a common practice in Pakistan. Many of the bus and taxi drivers are uneducated, meaning that international visitors face a major language issue.
- The warm temperature of Pakistan is unbearable for tourists, particularly in summers, according to foreign tourists. Thus pollution is also a major problem for foreign tourists along with frequent load shedding.
