Human female is not fertile after menopause whereas males can produce gametes at any age after

in human females ovum are formed at foetal stage and the no more ovum can be added after that time. hence when the female attains puberty, on 60,000 to 80,000 of them remain while most of them get degraded. so till menopause, all the ovum are used up and there are no more ovum to carry out fertilisation. so they are not fertile after menopause. but this is not the case for males. they keep on  producing sperms even at the old age.
