human have also gills but why human are not breath in water as like fish?

Humans have gill slits when they are not even born. We have pharengeal gill slits in embryonal stage but they disappear as embryo develops.
Gill slits are a proof of "ontogeny repeats phylogeny" but even embryos do not use gill slits for respiration. They have Allantois for this purpose(exchange of gases).
Adult humans do not even have gill slits. That is why they cannot breathe in water as fishes do.
