Answer:

Blood Groups

there are variations in blood groups, among human beings.

There are four blood Groups among the human population. They are

A

B

O

AB

BLOOD GROUP " O " IS CALLED UNIVERSAL DONER BECAUSE IT CAN DONATE BLOOD TO ALL OTHER BLOOD GROUPS.

WHILE BLOOD GROUP "AB" IS CALLED UNIVERSAL RECIPIENT,BECAUSE IT CAN ACCEPT BLOOD FROM ALL GROUPS.

These variations in blood group is due to presence of antigens or antibodies in blood.

Antigens are glycoproteins which are present in RBCs .

Antibodies are chemicals present in blood plasma.

Blood group. antigen. Antibodies

A. A. b

B. B. a

O. None. a & b

AB. A & B. None

It is the basis on which blood is classified in various groups.....

hope it helps you..
