Good question but i think before computers and Internet was discovered people loved spending time with environment,other natural things that we cant do now..so i think internet and computers had made the life easier but is the reason behind most of the diseases

People would travel miles to deliver messages and gifts on foot and horses taking breaks on way.
They also used boats, caravans and horse carts to travel to distant places.

The religious preachers would travel in groups to different places and would share the philosophy of their religion, exchanged ideas and held debates with people from other religions. This led to changes in traditions and better Understanding of tradition and customs. People would often question and challenge the pre-existing norms and customs.

Travellers recorded their travels and wrote about different places and their different people & cultures, compare them with others and then shared them with people.
