Everyone is worried about their career. It is very important to choose a right course especially after 12th because it is the stepping stone of your career. Here is a list of courses you can opt for, for college, if you are a humanities student.

Courses:-

1. B.A.: The Bachelor of Art includes the study of humanities, social and cultural studies, languages and music. BA specialization courses are also available like B.A. Psychology, B.A. History, B.A. Archaeology, B.A. Economics, B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication, B.A. English, B.A. Hindi, B.A. Malayalam, B. A. in other languages (state wise), B.A. Sociology, B.A. Politics, B.A. Geography, B.A. Indian Culture, B.A. Social Work, B.A. Physical Education etc.

Duration: 3 years

2. B.F.A.: Bachelor of Fine Arts. It includes- Painting, Sculpting, Music, Dance, Photography etc.

3. Journalism and Mass Communication : Now a day’s an immense growth is not only seen in the traditional field of media like print and electronic but also in online media. So, Mass Communication professionals are in demand these days! Some of the subjects taught include Film Studies, Client Servicing, Radio & Television Production, Ad Film-making etc.

Duration: Degree: 3 years, Diploma/Certificate Course: 1-2 years.

4. Hotel Management: With tourism sector of India going through a good phase, the Hospitality sector is doing well. It trains students to take on managerial responsibilities in hotels. Guest Service Management, Housekeeping Management , Kitchen Management, Communication Fundamentals, Hotel Engineering etc are some of the subjects taught under this course.

5. B.B.A. : Bachelor of Business Administration. While studying BBA you will be exposed to subjects like Business Statistics, Marketing, Business Laws, Human Resource Management etc.

6. Fashion Designing: In this course, students are introduced to subjects that deal with Elements of Textiles, Pattern Making, Fashion Studies, Design Management, Fashion Forecasting etc.

7. Retail and Fashion Merchandise: Most design colleges have this course available for students. This course ,as the name suggests, focuses on merchandising, marketing and selling of products. Garment manufacturing technology, import & export procedures, retail management etc are some of the subjects taught in this course.

8. Integrated Law course: B.A. L.L.B. and B.S.L LLB are courses available to students across law colleges in the country. Students are given exposure to a number of legislations and are also given the opportunity to participate in moot courts.

9. Graphic Design: This field essentially involves the production of visual solutions to communication problems. Some of the subjects taught under this course are Contextual Photography, Info-graphics, Design Ethnography, Basic Typography, Printing & Production Methods etc.

Duration: 3-4 years and Diploma course: 1-2 years.

10. Bachelor of Elementary Education: The Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) programme is a four-year integrated professional degree programme offered after the higher secondary stage of school. B.El.Ed. is designed to integrate the study of subject knowledge, human development, pedagogical knowledge, and communication skills. Subjects taught include Child Development, Human Relations and Development, School Planning and Education etc.
