Answer: A LETTER TO GOD
Explanation: Lencho was a poor and simple farmer. He had the field of ripe corn dotted with the flowers. He hoped for a downpour or at least a shower which could promise him good harvest. He was happy to see huge mountains of clouds. After some time, it started drizzling and within no time the drizzle got converted into a heavy rain. Strong wind began to blow with the large hailstones. The hail rained for an hour and the entire field was white as if covered with salt. The corn was totally destroyed. The hail has left nothing. He did not understand what to do. He thought that this year he and his family would go starving. But he had a great faith in god. He decided to seek help from god. He wrote a letter to god demanding 100 pesos to sow his fields again and to live till next crop. He went to the post office and posted the letter by writing ‘To God’ at the top of the envelope. When the postman read the letter addressed to God, he could not stop himself from laughing. But the post master who was a fat, amiable man got impressed by such a faith of a man in God. In order not to shake Lencho’s belief, he decided to help him. He collected 70 pesos from his friends, charity and he himself gave part of his salary. The following Sunday Lencho came to collect the money. He opened the envelope and counted the money. But he was disappointed to find only 70 pesos. He was angry and he wrote again a letter to god demanding rest of the money. He also asked God not to send the money through the post office because what he believed that the post office employees are a bunch of crooks as they had stolen 30 pesos from the 100 pesos.
