Yes , I agree this statement because human beings need to interact with environment for food , water and even basic amenities like shelter , medicine oxygen and for making clothes etc.
Humans also depend on raw materials from the environment and they are the one to modify these small use into large extent .
Human beings also used to exploit the environment to develop the technology but they are the only living beings who implemented strict laws and they are successful in reducing pollution etc.
Therefore we can say that humans interact with environment and modify it according to their needs.
