most important part of this question is that the speed is given and time is asked.

so problem is to find the distance to put in to the equation speed= distance/time.

first step convert 30km/h in to m/s. which is not a big deal.

secondly, the distance train needs to travel is equal to it's own length because the man is stationary point and that poin needs to travel from starting point of the train to end point of the train that is 100m

so put distance =100 in the formula.
