Since it was very cold the mother wrapped the baby in warm clothes and went out to get some wood to make fire . Unfortunately she passed away when a log fell on her head while she was pulling a piece of wood . When the hunter returned , he was shocked to see his wife dead and heard a cry . When he saw the child he was happy but was very sad of his wife . So he leaves his daughter under the charge of his faithful hound and leaves them with a bit of food and water . The Hound worked very hard and used to take care of her . She grows up and becomes a beautiful girl . But the hound passes away due to old age . She becomes sad and starts to cry . A prince was passing by and hearing her cry , he came there rushing . When he saw her he was shocked as she was dressed in torn clothes of her mother . When he spoke to her , she could not understand as she lived in a forest and had not been in the outside world . The prince was very kind and took her to his palace . He asked his maids to dress her up . When he saw her , he fell in love with her . He thought her many things and became one of the smartest person in the kingdom . The prince married her and they lived happily .
