2x-y=2 .....(i)
4x-y=8. .....(ii)

BY SUBTRACTING EQUATION (I) FROM (II),

WE GET,

2x=6
x=3

NOW, BY SUBSTITUTING VALUE OF x IN EQUATION (I),

2(3)-y=2
==>6-y=2
==>y=4
