Husk and chalk particles can be separated by sieving whereas flour and chalk particles cannot be separated by sieving. Write reason for the same.

Answer: No we cannot separate flour and chalk by sieving because when chalk is crushed it turns into powder so flour is already powder and if you try to separate the two substances it will not separate instead they both will still be mixed.They both are crushed and powdery substances.

The aggregate should be oven-dried at high temperature before sieving to prevent lump formation of the fine particles due to moisture content, which might clog the fine sieve holes.
