hy friends, pls help me... why more serious burns are caused by steam at 1000°c than water at same temperature....pls help me...

Hey._____as you know that when weheat the water steams areformedwhich means steams are already having high temperatureso when you provide themmore heat i.e. 1000°C so the temperature in them goes highwhile in the case of water when you heat them at 1000°C it will start to formsteams , they will be also super heated but some of its heat goes in converting it into steamSO MORE SERIOUS BURNS ARE CAUSED BY STEAM THAN WITH WATER THOUGH AT SAMETEMPERATURE

Steam will produce more severe burns than boiling waterbecause steam has more heat energy than water due to its latent heat of vaporisation.Steam and boiling water can exist at varying temperaturesbut it is only correct to assume here that both are at the same temperature.
