One day Helen was with her teacher, Sullivan, for a long walk. It was a fine morning but then it got little warm. Both Helen and Sullivan stopped to rest under a cherry tree a short way from the house. The tree was easy to climb and so both climbed the tree. They decided to stay there and have lunch. Miss Sullivan left Helen on the tree and went to bring some food. Suddenly Helen experienced some change. The sky became black and a strange odour came to Helen from the earth.?It was an indication to her that a thunderstorm was close by. Helen was scared as she was alone and that too high above the earth. She wanted to get down but could not do that alone. Then a sudden and violent wind began to shake the tree. Just as Helen was about to fell, Sullivan came to her help. This was Helen's first traumatic experience with thunderstorm.

Helen had a terrifc experience the day she climbed the tree for the first time. Miss. sullivan had asked Helen to link her thoughts with nature and to find beauty in every blade of grass. But an experience changed her perspective of nature. One day, on her wya back from the countryside, Helen with the help of Miss. Sullivan climbed a cherry tree. Leaving Helen, Miss. Sullivan went to fetch their meal. However, within a few seconds, a thunderstorm occurred which might have knocked Helen, if she wouldn't have strongly clung to the branch. The swaying of the trees caused the branches to lash out on her. She felt lonely and yearned to get down the tree. The immense fear of falling down had engulfed her. Miss.Sullivan, however, quickly reached her and helped her climb down. The moment her feet touched the ground, she trembled with joy.
This incident made her understand that behind all the nature's beauty, there hides some horrid stuff too.
